Brand new Travel Cajon, professional artisan handcrafted instrument with a full sound and an incredible full bass sound not usually found on such a small Cajon. Immaculate quality and strong design, created by Heidi Joubert and used on her travels & shows. With 2 playable sides, one ‘flamenco’ Cajon side with traditional flamenco guitar strings in a V-shape and a ‘Peruvian’ or ‘conga’ frontboard sound on the opposite side. Easy to play and light to carry. Fits comfortably inside any standard backpack used for hand baggage on all airline companies including Ryanair and easyJet, with space for laptop, books & all your carry on requirements.

my travel cajon arrived super quickly – a journey via the Honolulu and Australia to New Zealand! I love it, the sound if this tiny box is so powerful – I played alongside two Flamenco guitars and a dancer recently and my Travel Cruz nicely blended in. It was pure joy! Given its size, I have started to take it with me whenever I think there might be a chance for a quick practice, this has now tripled my practice routine. Thank you so much! -

I just want to let you know That I just received my Beautiful Cruz travel Cajon. I just played a little bit of it with one of your videos on YouTube of you playing your travel Cajon on a Park Bunch under a gazebo. I love it. It’s inspiring me to get busy and complete the courses I bought almost a year ago. I do want to let you know that I had to pay UPS an additional $16.48 once it reached the US. Oh well, it got here safe and sound and in record time. Thank you again so much and I really enjoy watching and listening to you play and practicing along. It will be great for all my camping trips to music festivals this summer.

I’m sending you this message about my travel cajon… it’s taken a few weeks to find the true feel of my cajon.. I truly love the sounds and the way they blend in with any number of instruments.. it’s been areal joy… thank you for a wonderful instrument.. I wish had found this sooner.. my hands are starting to clench with years but this now gives me the pleasure I once found with my full size cajons.. thank you again Heidi

What an awesome addition to my collection!!! As a native from Peru, nothing is more satisfying to my ears than hearing the beat of a good “cajón.” Heidi’s line of “cajones,” in addition to the great sound, have great craftsmanship (I own a Cruz Cajon too, so I know). Her new Travel Cajon is the best addition to my small cajon family. With this little guy I can play my Afro-Peruvian music on one side and a variety of beats on the other. The sound is loud with good bass for such a small instrument. The strings give it a mellow sound, just right, not overpowering. It is super light, and it fits in my backpack. I am soon to travel, and instead of taking my Cruz cajon, I am considering taking this little guy and mic it up with the Salomon Mics Cajon Pickup Microphone, which fits perfectly through the handle. We’ll see… So far, I’ve been taking it everywhere with me, because I can! Thanks Heidi 🙂

I received Travel Cruz Cajon on Dec 19th. I especially like the 2-in-1 playability. It has quite a robust sound for a travel cajon. My other travel cajon (black Meinl one) will be retired.

I own a Cruz Cajon Pro performance and – since one week – the new travel Cajon. As I am a beginner in playing Cajon I do not judge myself to be competent to comment on the “quality as an instrument” 😉 but I would like to leave a comment on this little darling as it changed may habits. Early in the morning it “travels” from the first floor to the groundfloor and I take some minutes to play with music in the radio and prepare breakfast without disturbing my wife who gets up a little later.
Therefore, “thank you travel Cajon” for motivating me to dedicate more time on playing Cajon (I could have transported the Cruz Cajon downstairs, but I never did in the morning😉).I addition I like the extra “Brain jogging” as it plays a little bit different compared to the regular cajon and the two options of sound (Peruvian and Flamenco) -

Just received my travel cajon and I’m loving it! Great sound both with the Peruvian and Flamenco. It travels right inside my Swiss Digital Design bag. ( Computer bag with nice padding that my cajon sits between for great protection. And I still have room for my Microsoft Surface to fit w/ a bunch of other things.

I have been the proud owner of this beautiful Travel Cajon for about two weeks now, and I love it! It plays a little differently than a ‘normal’ cajon, and I still need to get used to it and figure out how to play it optimally. But its sound is phenomenal considering its size: a gentle, pleasant snare and a surprisingly powerful yet unobtrusive bass.
Last but not least, the Travel Cajon is a beautiful little instrument and superbly crafted; it feels wonderful to play. You can clearly see how much heart and soul went into making it and how much quality it has. It’s definitely a real recommendation for the Cruz Cajon brand! Since I’m also looking for a replacement for my current ‘normal’ cajon, which does not satisfy me anymore in some respects, I’m seriously considering buying a Cruz Cajon Elite Leon as well, the best your shop has to offer – why settle for something less good? I’m so close to ordering, so close…
