I cannot contain my excitement! Just got my plane tickets!

I can’t reveal too much about this beauty but it’s freaking awesome, I’ve been spending quite a lot of quality time with her over the past few weeks in studio, filming and playing it….
I’m in love!

All I can say is that it’s something you’ve NEVER seen before!!!

Heeeehaw, America here I come!

So….Who’s going to the NAMM, and who’s cooking me a true Californian dinner while i’m there?!!!!!!!

Tony Momrelle with Cruz Cajon

One of our Cruz Cajon endorsers (Michel Castellanos Sambrozo) playing our Pro Cruz Cajon on London Live TV with the amazing Tony Momrelle 🙂

This is the first single from his newly released album “Keep Pushing”.
The song is called “Pick Me Up”.

What are your favourite Tony Momrelle tunes?

Cajon Solo – Daddi Bahmani

Here we have the incredible Daddi Bahmani playing a solo on the Cajon in the style of Electro/House music.

Daddi and I met at the Musikmesse Festival in 2013 and had a jam together – what a guy! A fantastic musician!
We’re working on recording a video together on my channel in the future 🙂

What other styles of music have you heard on the Cajon?

New London Cajon Classes

Meet some of my lovely cajon students! They totally rock! It’s always a great pleasure to teach them, and after class I am normally quite high due to the energy we share in class. Thank you peeps, our classes is one of the highlights of my week.

We had a tiny studio last night and fit 12 players into it, it was hilarious, loud, fun and very very warm! Next week we’re in the big dance studio, yay!!

Long live beats, boxes and beautiful people! Life without it would totally suck.

Thanks to Jane Branagan for the photo

London Drum Show 2015

Had so much fun at the London drum show this weekend, played so much, learnt so much and met so many amazing drummers and important people in the drum world, it’s all bit much to take in!

Best of all, I went as a ROLAND GUEST to the show. Thanks to the Roland team for being so damn cool!

Yep, there’s something BIG cooking!

I hope to be having our own Cruz Cajon stall at the show in 2016 as well as workshops on cajon!

Cajon & Hang video – Hangbox project

Heidi’s new Cajon and Hang video is up, Featuring Heidi Joubert & Giovanni Spadoni.

We only had about 1 hour before the sun went down to film and we didn’t meet up to play since our last filming of the first cajon & hang video in 2012, so this was a pure, spontaneous, improvised jam session!

This is the first take and we think it came out pretty well. We are looking forward to recording our first album soon, check out details on this and more on my website.

This project is now officially named as the Hangbox project, what do you guys think? 🙂

We filmed in the Epping Forrest in London during the bloom of the blue bells (see the blue/purple flowers in the backdrop of the video).

These blue bells only bloom for about 1 month and we caught them just a few days before they dilapidated, it’s so special to have them in the picture. I hope you all enjoy the video and the music.

Heidi introducing the cajon with new Project – Women in unison

A few days ago I had an awesome rehearsal with some AMAZING musicians! I am honoured to be part of a new project called WOMAN IN UNISON, in conjuction with St Ethtelburgas ( community based centre). It’s all about bringing together women with unique musical and cultural backgrounds to create a platform for cross cultural collaboration and musical dialogue.

We are fusing and playing music from all the corners of the earth. India, Israel, Syria, Africa, Greece, South American, Spanish, Turkey etc. resultingin a beautiful harmonious journey across the different sounds of the globe. The music is nothing less than breathtaking and extremely unique, and each of us also performs of our own compositions!

YOU DO NO WANT TO MISS THIS! Catch us live on the 24th Jan at St Ethelburga’s Centre, City of London, a 2 min walk from Liverpool Street station. There’s only 100 Seats available so make sure you book your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment!
