Focus
Develop coordination, control, and rhythmic vocabulary by introducing a new accent placement within the groove.
Expanded Description
Variation 4 is the final variation of the Rumba Catalana groove and introduces a new accent placement within the pattern. While the groove remains familiar, this subtle change creates a different musical feel and helps develop coordination, control, and rhythmic awareness. By learning to place accents in different locations within the groove, you will expand your rhythmic vocabulary and gain a deeper understanding of how small variations can create new musical possibilities.
Focus on maintaining a clear distinction between the accented strokes and ghost notes while keeping the groove relaxed, consistent, and musical.
